Our story

We did not set out to build software

We set out to run a facilities company without losing work orders, lease dates, and packages. The software is what that took. Here is how it happened.

  1. The 2000s

    Two decades in the field

Long before MAFM, the people behind it were already working facilities: corporate campuses, moves, maintenance, mailrooms, vendors. Over 20 years of field experience shaped every opinion baked into this platform.

  2. 2020

A facilities company, not a startup

Our founders take that experience and start their own commercial facilities company in San Jose: moves, adds, changes, janitorial, site maintenance. The tooling is whatever everyone uses: a ticketing app, spreadsheets, a mailroom binder, group texts.

  3. 2022

    The spreadsheet breaks

More buildings, more crews, more handoffs. A renewal date hides on page 87 of a lease. Packages vanish between the dock and the suite. Dispatchers become the bottleneck for every single request. The team starts replacing tools with software built around how the work actually flows.

  4. 2024

    The platform becomes the company

What started as internal tooling becomes a real platform: multi-tenant, white-label, with an AI assistant that creates work orders, reads leases, and scans mail labels. MAFM.AI is founded to license it. Weekly releases begin and have not stopped.

  5. Today

    Customer zero, every day

The founders still run their facilities company on the exact build you would license. Every rough edge gets felt by our own crews before it ever reaches a client. That is the deal: we are not selling software we do not live in.

Twelve minutes of a real operation, not a product demo.
